In short: SaveFold stores the links you save, their public titles, descriptions and preview images, your own notes and Collections, and your account e-mail. It uses no third-party ads and no third-party tracking scripts. You can export everything as JSON at any time. Payments, when available, are processed by Freemius. 1. Controller

The controller under Art. 4(7) GDPR is the operator named in the Legal notice: [TO BE SUPPLIED BY OWNER]. Privacy requests: support@savefold.site, subject “Privacy request”.

2. What we store and why

Account: e-mail address, password hash (bcrypt), language, theme choice, the time you registered. Legal basis: performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Your Library: the links you save, the title, description and preview image the linked page publishes about itself, your notes, Collections, favorites, reminders and the source app each Save came from. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b). SaveFold does not download or store third-party video or photo files.

Technical: a session cookie, a CSRF token, a language and a currency preference, and server logs kept for security (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Product analytics: first-party event counts (for example that a Save was created and how) without URLs, titles, notes, search text, IP address or user agent. No third-party analytics service receives anything.

3. Cookies

Only strictly necessary cookies: the session, CSRF protection, your language and your currency choice. No advertising or tracking cookies, so no consent banner is shown. Your light/dark choice is kept in your browser’s local storage.

4. Recipients

Hosting: [TO BE SUPPLIED BY OWNER] (hosting provider and data-centre location).

Payments: Freemius, Inc. processes Plus purchases and stores the billing data it needs; SaveFold receives the license status, never your card details.

Link previews: when you save a link, SaveFold’s server requests the page’s public metadata from the linked site; the site sees the server’s request, not your device.

No data is sold or shared for advertising.

5. Retention

Your Library exists for as long as your account does. Deleted Saves stay in the trash for 7 days and are then permanently removed. Server logs are kept for [TO BE SUPPLIED BY OWNER] days.

6. Your rights

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR), and the right to complain to a supervisory authority. You can export your whole Library as JSON from Settings at any time. You can delete your account yourself in Settings → Account → Delete account.

7. Changes

This policy is updated when SaveFold changes what it stores. The date at the top is the date of the current version.
